I’m late to the party and I don’t actually have all that much to say, I just wanted this here because it’s important. My appreciation and love for Punk will never waver, but that doesn’t mean I necessarily agree with a lot of things things he says and does. I think his attitude and a lot of his opinions and his overall demeanour are really negative and self-destructive (despite how adamantly he will claim otherwise), but the one thing we will always agree on is this.

Domestic violence is awful. There is no other way to describe it. There are no excuses, there are no loop holes; just don’t do it. Picking up trash doesn’t make up for the mental and physical trauma he inflicted on a woman he supposedly loved. Acting like an arrogant dick to anyone who even remotely tries to question whether or not you’ve changed isn’t cool or edgy and it doesn’t make you better than them. It makes you a dick.

Watching this makes me extremely proud to be a Punk fan. It’s hard to be a female wrestling fan for what I think are pretty obvious reasons. No woman likes to have her gender degraded and shamed every time they sit down to indulge in one of their biggest interests. It’s disheartening and draining and it’s very, very conflicting. So things like this are really uplifting and I really hope we see more of it, and from other people than just Punk.
