The AJ/Punk/Bryan/Kane story line totally reminds me of True Blood. Kane, as Eric, since he’s feared but we all know deep down inside, he’s got a soft spot.  Daniel, as Beel, since he’s the douchebag Ex people love to hate, and no matter what, he’s AJ’s first love, who she’ll never ‘get over.’ Punk, as Alcide, cause he’s the good guy that’ll protect you. And AJ, as Sookie, because her trance is basically like Sookie’s fairy vagina/blood, and everyone seems to want or have that shit.  Amazing

I don’t even remotely care about Kane/Orton so I guess I’m going to spend the next x minutes silently raging to myself about what just happened.

I’m more than totally okay with Sheamus winning the title. In fact, it was probably over-due and he is extremely popular right now so it makes sense. But Daniel Bryan is the actual best wrestler in the world. You might not be able to brand him as the best talker or the most charasmatic or the crowd favourite, but you will always have that. It makes sense to open the show with something big but not too big, but 15 seconds? You have the best wrestler in the world open the show in a 15 second match? What an unbelievable waste of talent. That could have been a fantastic, intense showdown between two extremely talented up-and-comers. 

This is a special Wrestlemania because, thanks to The Rock, it is going to have a much, much larger percentage of ‘casual’ fans and ‘former’ fans than usual. This is your chance to hook them again, to show them why they should want to become invested in these new guys, and you give them that?

Shame. I genuinely hope the other three main events are beyond excellent and well paced to make up for it.
